The Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI) is proud to celebrate the success of Dr. Andy Kin On Wong (Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, Schroeder Arthritis Institute; Assistant Professor, Epidemiology Division, Dalla Lana School of Public Health), whose recent investment from the Ontario Research Fund and the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) will establish the Sarcopenia and Musculoskeletal Interactions (SaMI) Collaborative Hub.
This cutting-edge research facility will drive innovation in understanding musculoskeletal health, osteoarthritis, and rehabilitation strategies, creating new opportunities for collaboration across RSI’s vibrant research community. The SaMI Hub is designed to foster interdisciplinary partnerships and accelerate discoveries that improve patient outcomes.
Why this matters:
Strengthening Collaboration: The SaMI Hub will serve as a nexus for researchers, clinicians, and trainees, promoting knowledge exchange and joint projects.
Training Opportunities: With plans to involve students, this initiative offers hands-on experience in advanced research environments, preparing the next generation of rehabilitation scientists.
Advancing Excellence: Dr. Wong’s achievement reflects RSI’s commitment to supporting faculty success and driving impactful research that shapes the future of rehabilitation science.
Congratulations to Dr. Wong on this remarkable accomplishment! We look forward to seeing the transformative impact of the SaMI Collaborative Hub on musculoskeletal research and rehabilitation.
