Dr. Darcy Fehlings Receives Lifetime Achievement Award for Pioneering Contributions to Rehabilitation Sciences

The Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI) is proud to celebrate Dr. Darcy Fehlings, a distinguished RSI faculty member, for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM). This prestigious honor recognizes Dr. Fehlings’ extraordinary dedication and groundbreaking work in the field of pediatric rehabilitation and cerebral palsy research.

Dr. Fehlings, who also serves as a Senior Clinician Scientist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and a Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto, has made significant contributions to our understanding and treatment of children with cerebral palsy (CP). Her research focuses on enhancing motor function, exploring novel therapies, and improving the quality of life for children and families affected by CP. Notably, her work has shaped best practices in the use of hypertonia management and innovative rehabilitation technologies.

Upon receiving this honor, Dr. Fehlings reflected, "This award is not just a recognition of my work, but also the collective effort of the talented teams I've had the privilege to collaborate with throughout my career.
