Dr. Dina Brooks, belonging to the Department of Physical Therapy, is a Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Rehabilitation in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Her research experience has included varied models (e.g., anaesthetized animals, conscious animals and humans) and different research approaches. She is presently involved in research in two main patient populations: individuals with chronic lung disease and those with cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Brooks will receive her award at the Faculty of Medicine Education Achievement Celebration on May 11, 2016.
Every year, over the last 6 consecutive years, the RSI faculty has received a Graduate Faculty Teaching Award (10 in total). This is a true testament to the outstanding teaching and mentorship abilities of our faculty in addition to being outstanding researchers.
