FoM Dean’s Alumni Award Winners - Drs. Stephanie Nixon & Sandra Black

Congratulations to Dr. Stephanie Nixon (photo right) and Dr. Sandra Black (photo left) for being this year’s recipients of the Dean's Rising Star Award and Dean's Lifetime Achievement Award, respectively, at the 3rd annual Faculty of Medicine Dean’s Alumni Awards!

Both Drs. Nixon and Black were presented with their awards on November 16, 2015 during the Dean's Honour Roll luncheon held at the Gardiner Museum.

The Rising Star Award is presented to alumni who have graduated in the past 15 years and have made an important contribution to the Faculty, their local medical/health care community, or a scientific or academic achievement.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes alumni whose outstanding career achievements have earned them national or international prominence in research, teaching, clinical care, administration or public service.

Both Drs. Nixon and Black were asked to discuss the passion that drives their outstanding contributions to medicine.
